The Annual International Mining and Metallurgy Forum AMM-2024 was held in Astana on June 6-7.

CRIRSCO Chairman Garth Kirkham, who was visiting Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Minister of Construction and Industry, Mr. Kanat Sharlapayev, addressed the Forum.

Mr. Kirkham’s remarks focused on the development of international standards for reporting mineral resources and reserves, the globalization of CRIRSCO, and support for the process of implementing the KAZRC Code in Kazakhstan.

The KAZRC Code is part of the CRIRSCO group of standards and is legally adopted in Kazakhstan for reporting solid mineral resources and reserves.
