Bekassyl Kapbassovich Aukeshev is an experienced geophysicist, executive, and public figure who has dedicated more than 10 years of his professional career to the development of the geological exploration sector in Kazakhstan. He is a graduate of Karaganda State Technical University, where he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of “Geophysical Methods of Prospecting and Exploration of Mineral Deposits.” He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.

Bekassyl Aukeshev developed his professional skills through work in several key institutions within the industry, including “Azimut Geology” Limited Liability Partnership, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Geological Exploration Company “Tau-Ken Samruk” Joint-Stock Company, “Kazakhmys Barlau” Limited Liability Partnership, and “Qazaq Geophysics” Limited Liability Partnership. He advanced from the position of geophysical engineer to head of geological projects and departments, and eventually to Chief Executive Officer of an international geophysical company.

Since 2025, Bekassyl Aukeshev has served as Executive Director of the Non-Profit Organization “Kazakhstan Association for Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves”, where he actively contributes to the development of transparent and internationally recognized standards in mineral resource reporting.

Bekassyl Kapbassovich is a laureate of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve of Kazakhstan (2019), a graduate of the international “Bolashak” scholarship program (United States), and an alumnus of the Leadership Academy for International Professionals at the University of California, San Diego. He is a member of the Public Society «Professional Society of Independent Experts of the Subsurface Resources” (PONEN), the Geological Industry Committee of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises (AMME).

For his contributions to the industry, he has been awarded a letter of appreciation by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was granted the title of “Honorary Geologist” by the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises. He actively supports youth initiatives and projects, including participation in the activities of the “Zhas Geolog” Corporate Foundation.
