The members of KAZRC Association, represented by the geological exploration and mining companies Kazgeologia, Kazzinc, Kazakhmys Corporation, associations APGO and AGMP, Micromine Central Asia, PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resourses, PONEN approved the new version of the KAZRC Code, developed by the Standards Committee of the Professional Association of Independent Subsoil Experts PONEN.

The new version of the KAZRC Code complies with the principles and requirements of the international CRIRSCO template, updated in 2019.

In addition, some clarifications and additions have been made to it, which will be useful for specialists in the process of transition from GKZ standards to KAZRC standards in Kazakhstan.

Major changes in the code are the following:

1) the levels of technical studies (Scoping Study, Pre-feasibility Study and Feasibility Study) have been clarified.

2) particular attention has been paid to a more careful declaration of Mineral Reserves.

3) in order to attract investments at an early stage of exploration, a report for Exploration Target has been added.

4) the section RESEARCH PRICES FOR MINERAL RAW MATERIALS AND MARKETING has been added.

5) Table 1 has been revised to separate the evaluation criteria by research stages (Scoping Study, Pre-feasibility Study and Feasibility Study).

6) table No. 2 has been added for detailing of the reporting sections by research stages.
