Training on international reporting standards on the results of geological exploration, mineral resources and reserves of KAZRC (CRIRSCO) for 2017

With the aim of developing our country in the conditions of global crisis, the Head of State outlined the Plan of the Nation – 100 specific steps; one of them is the 74th step which is aimed at “Enhancing the transparency and predictability of the subsoil use area through the implementation of the international system of reporting standards on solid mineral reserves of CRIRSCO”.

In 2016, Kazakhstan in the national organization of public reporting of the Association KAZRC became the 10th member of CRIRSCO, and the KAZRC’s Reporting Standards Code became a part of international standards. The Professional Association of Independent Subsoil Experts (PONEN) is recognized as an independent professional organization that meets the requirements of CRIRSCO.

The most important step in reforming the system of subsoil use in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the development and adoption of the Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use, which has entered the Nation Plan as the 75th step.

The reporting standards on geological exploration results, mineral resources and reserves of KAZRC with coming into force of the Subsoil and Subsoil Use Code, will become mandatory on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in January 2018 approximately.

The main objective for successful implementation of KAZRC standards is the training of geological exploration and mining enterprises staff.

A key role in the implementation of KAZRC standards is assigned to the Public Association of Independent Subsoil Experts “PONEN”, recognized by KAZRC and CRIRSCO.
